About the Role

We are currently seeking an Environmental and Sustainability Advisor to join our team on a major water treatment plant upgrade project based in Healesville, Victoria.

This is a site‑based role ideal for an advisor who enjoys being close to the work, building relationships on the ground and delivering meaningful environmental outcomes.

Reporting to the Project Director and working closely with site leadership, you’ll provide environmental and sustainability expertise to ensure the project is delivered in compliance with legislative, client and BMD requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the project Environmental Management Plan (EMP)
  • Provide environmental advice and support to construction teams
  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, approvals, licences and permits
  • Conduct environmental inspections, audits and monitoring
  • Manage incident response, investigation and reporting
  • Support sustainability initiatives, tracking and reporting
  • Assist with stakeholder engagement, including regulators and local authorities
  • Deliver toolbox talks, training and awareness sessions for site personnel

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in infrastructure or construction projects (water, civil or utilities highly regarded)
  • Sound knowledge of Victorian environmental legislation and approval processes
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with site teams
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
