About the Role

BMD is continuing its strong growth trajectory with a robust pipeline of projects across Australia. We are seeking a Site Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background, specialising in water and wastewater infrastructure projects, to join our Constructions business unit for works in the Central Coast Region of NSW.

As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting onsite delivery by coordinating day-to-day construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards, and contributing to the successful execution of project works. You will work closely with Project Engineers and Supervisors while gaining exposure to complex infrastructure projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure works onsite
  • Coordinate mechanical installation activities, including plant and equipment
  • Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and standards
  • Monitor site progress, productivity, and quality outcomes
  • Assist with short-term planning, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, environmental, and quality compliance
  • Contribute to resolving technical issues and driving efficient project outcomes

 

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Exposure to water and wastewater infrastructure projects (preferred)
  • Typically 2–4 years’ onsite experience in construction or infrastructure delivery
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a site-based team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality outcomes
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a high-performing project team
