Salary for this role is £24,531.00 + £51.11 sleep-in allowance                          

Work Pattern: x3 9am -5pm + 1 sleep-in per week

 

 

 

 

 

Job requirements:

The successful candidate will hold a drivers licence and have access to a car.  You will be required to lone work as part of this role.

What’s great about the role?

Barry Offenders Project provides temporary, supported accommodation for both young and older adults who have been involved in the criminal justice services. Our Pobl teams provide support to people to develop the key skills needed to prevent homelessness, improve financial capability and to develop the skills to settle in the community and achieve positive progression. You will play an essential part of our team where you’d be required to work in the project and in the community - supporting people in their own homes.

Day to Day Duties:

You will assist the Support Worker to create and implement realistic goals around motivation to change lifestyle and life habits like employment, education, tenancy support and staying out of criminal life.

You will also:

  • Work with people to truly make a difference in their life
  • Use your skills and talents to engage with people
  • Support people to achieve their potential
  • Develop your networking skills by working in partnership with external agencies

Our motivation is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.
