What’s Great About the Role?
You will be required to Support a range of individuals and families who have experienced homelessness and have varying needs, such as, mental health issues, substance misuse issues and learning difficulties. You will work with these incredible individuals to develop independent living skills to enable them to move onto independent sustainable accommodation.
Our team delivers support to vulnerable individuals and help them to develop the key skills needed to prevent homelessness, improve financial capability, promote re-settlement into the community and achieve positive progression. You will play a key part in enabling individuals to achieve their goals and empower them to lead independent lives.
Every day is different and every day you would learn new skills and have the opportunity to work with a variety of agencies such as housing, DWP, social services and health visitors.
What skills and experience do you need?
As a Lead Project Worker your day will consist of:
- Engaging and interacting with the people we support
- Support the manager & the project staff with the day to day running of the scheme
- Ensuring that a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) is integral to the service
- Lead meetings and direct project staff in conjunction with the scheme manager
- Support to induct & train new staff members
- Manage the scheme in the managers absence
- Attend external meetings in managers absence
- Supervise team members
- To work in partnership with the Housing Support Grant Team
- Provide a continuous and consistent approach to support for vulnerable people helping them make the transition into independent living and advising them on re-housing options
- Provide support with budgeting and money management, including welfare benefits
- Provide support in a practical way, with regards to education, training and employment and day to day living
- Liaise with Social Services, the Benefit Agency, Housing Department, CAB, Health and Safety and other agencies, on matters affecting prospective

- Salary: £30,520.00
- Contract Type: Full-time 37hrs, permanent
- Work Pattern: as part of a rota between hours of 0800hrs and 2200hrs including weekends
- Requirements: A driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
- For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.
- 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays
