What is the Leadership Academy?
The Future Generations Leadership Academy is a 7 month, 70 hour development experience (September 2025 – March 2026) blending:
- In-person workshops across Wales
- Live online learning sessions
- Peer coaching and mentoring
- Project work tackling real-world challenges
You’ll deepen your understanding of the Well- being of Future Generations (Wales) Act, and explore leadership themes such as long-term thinking, prevention, collaboration, involvement, and integration. Throughout the programme you’ll build practical tools, confidence and cross-sector networks.
Participants will graduate in March 2026, with the opportunity to join the Leadership Academy Alumni Network for ongoing collaboration, events and professional growth.
Key Programme Details:
- Duration: September 2025 – March 2026 (7 months)
- Total Commitment: 70 learning hours
- Formats: Mix of in person and live online sessions
- Graduation: March 2026, plus opportunity to be part of the future Alumni Network
- Eligibility: Colleagues aged 18–30 at the time of applying
Who Should Apply?
- Early- to mid career colleagues (no formal leadership role required)
- Passionate about making sustainable, long-term impact
- Able to represent our organisation externally
- Committed to full participation in all sessions and activities
What You Need to Know:
- Participation will form part of your normal working week
- Paid time off at your usual rate will be granted for all programme activities
- Expression of interests will be assessed via a fair and transparent internal process
- We will nominate two colleagues to represent our organisation
