Where does this role fit in?

The role will contribute to the achievement of the Group’s Growth Strategy and ensure the effective delivery of small-scale new housing development and refurbishment schemes, under the direction and guidance of the Senior Project Manager and Head of Development.

The Project Officer will act as a vital link between strategy and project delivery—coordinating and managing the end-to-end process from feasibility and procurement to handover and post-completion review. You’ll also support Project Managers with larger or more complex projects and play an important role in aligning projects with stakeholder expectations, Welsh Government funding requirements, and our community impact objectives.

What skills and experience do you need?

We are looking for an experienced individual who can confidently manage and deliver housing development projects to a high standard, within time and budget.

You will bring:

  • Post-qualification experience in a development and commercial environment is preferred.
  • Proven project management experience, including managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • A strong commitment to partnership working and delivering high-quality homes with a customer-centred approach.
  • The ability to undertake financial appraisals using industry-recognised tools and to analyse complex information effectively.
  • Confidence in using Project Management software and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage stakeholders and produce well-structured business reports.

What are the pay and benefits? 

  • £40,217 for a 37-hour position (15-month secondment)
  • The role will require you to be out on site and cover the area of West Wales (covering the area from Neath Port Talbot through to Pembrokeshire)
  • The team come together in the office one day a week, typically on a Wednesday, although there’s the ability to come in more frequently.
  • You will need to be a driver with access to a vehicle
  • 26 days holiday entitlement plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days with length of service
  • Mileage paid at 45p per mile
