Where does this role fit in?
As a Resident Liaison Officer (Retrofit Advisor), you will:
- Be the main point of contact for residents before, during, and after retrofit work in their homes.
- Work closely with the Asset Management, Housing Management, and Project Delivery teams.
- Support residents with clear explanations of what is happening, when, and how it may affect them.
- Provide practical guidance on how to get the most from new energy systems (like solar panels, batteries, or heating upgrades).
- Help identify and support residents who may need extra assistance during the process.
- Monitor resident feedback and environmental data to ensure projects deliver the best results.
- Contribute ideas to improve how we deliver retrofit projects in the future.
You will not manage a team but will play a central part in making sure projects run smoothly and residents feel confident every step of the way.
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for individuals with customer service experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to support residents with different needs. You’ll need to be organised, proactive, and it is essential that you complete PAS 2035 Retrofit Advisor training within a reasonable timeframe. A full driving licence and access to a car are required.
This role suits someone who enjoys helping people, explaining technical information clearly, and working on sustainability projects. Experience in energy, retrofit, or construction is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided, including the required PAS 2035 certification.
What are the pay and benefits?
- These roles salary are £36,575 for a 37 hour, full time, fixed term 18 month position.
- Base locations: Swansea, Newport, or Cardiff
- Coverage area includes Chepstow, Haverfordwest, South Powys, and surrounding communities
- We offer flexible working policies – this role is a hybrid role. You’ll spend time out on site, engaging with communities and making a real impact
- A Basic DBS is required for the role which we pay for.
- 26 days holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays , rising to 30 days with length of service
- Mileage is paid at 45p per mile
