What is the role?
At our residential care home in Aberavon, we pride ourselves on delivering tailored care that respects the individuality of each resident. Our compassionate and highly trained staff work closely with residents to ensure their personal needs, preferences, and wishes are at the heart of everything we do.
Our home is a warm and vibrant community of 60 residents, each with their own personality and support needs, including individuals living with dementia.
What is the role?
As a Domestic or Laundry Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the Care Home, following best practices and guidelines within Health & Safety, Infection Control and COSHH regulations are adhered to.

- Following best practices and guidelines within Health & Safety, Infection Control and COSHH regulations.
- Ensure that the cleaning schedules are maintained according to company policies and procedures.
A great part of this job is actively engaging residents in conversation and having meaningful interactions with them about their lives and experiences.

What skills and experience do you need?
A background of working within a care environment, or cleaning or laundry is desirable but not essential as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided. More important are;
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Able to work on own initiative
- Demonstrates enthusiasm, commitment, and focus
