Where does this role fit in?
The Business Support (Neighbourhoods) is part of the Homes & Communities Department and is located in Newport. You will report to the Area Neighbourhood Manager and play a key role in providing administrative and operational support to the Area Neighbourhood Team. Your efforts will help ensure that our services run smoothly and that our customers are well-supported.
Our Neighbourhoods Teams take a leading role in ensuring the well-being of customers, maintaining properties, and fostering a positive and cohesive community.
What skills and experience do you need?
To thrive in this role, you should have a proven track record in delivering efficient administrative and service support within an office setting. Experience in interacting confidently with both internal teams and external stakeholders is essential, coupled with strong IT skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to adapt to new systems. Key attributes include exceptional data processing abilities, effective communication both written and verbal, and a collaborative, proactive approach to problem-solving. You must excel in organisation, show attention to detail, and handle pressure with ease. Empathy in addressing sensitive issues is crucial.

What are the pay and benefits?
- £25,034 for a 37 hour, full time position on a permanent or fixed term 10 month basis.
- Flexible approach to work – Monday to Friday. Office attendance is required but there will be occasions where you can work from home or from other Pobl locations.
- 26 days holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays, rising to 30 days with length of service
- The successful candidate will need a basic DBS check in place, which we pay for.
