What is great about this role?
Our Cardiff Floating Support team provides housing related support to people who are experiencing housing issues and have additional vulnerabilities. This role will involve managing our team of Floating Support Workers who work with people to support them with how to manage their home and finances, and wellbeing. In addition, they may need assistance with education, volunteering, looking for employment, mental and physical health needs and to help them integrate back into the community. Working with partner agencies is critical.

Managing Cardiff Floating Support effectively is essential for achieving goals. You will inspire, challenge and manage your team to improve performance and outcomes for people who use our services. You will also be responsible for staff’s wellbeing, coaching, mentoring and supervision as well as enable the people who access our services to lead successful and independent lives.
You will:
- Oversee the running of the service
- Be responsible for the management of all staff including regular supervisions, training and development, HR procedures and recruitment and induction
- Be responsible for the annual budget and monitoring the service’s income
- Ensure that advice is given on welfare rights, permanent housing options and other associated information according to the needs and wishes of the customers
- Monitor the service and produce and amend procedures as appropriate
- Build relationships and liaise with external agencies
Who are we looking for?
You will have had previous experience in a support environment and have a good understanding of leadership and management.
In addition you will be able to demonstrate the ability to;
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
- Produce concise, accurate written reports
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with customers, staff and community partners
- Knowledge of homelessness issues
- Ability to network by working in partnership with external agencies

- Full-time, 1 year fixed-term contract
- A competitive salary of £31,899.00
- Work Pattern: Hours are predominately worked between Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm but flexibility is required as there may sometimes be weekend working.
