About the role
As a Relief Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping the people we support live full, meaningful, and independent lives. You’ll work closely with individuals, supporting them with their day-to-day needs including personal care, always guided by their choices, preferences, and goals.
But this role is about so much more than support tasks. It’s about building genuine relationships, sharing laughs, creating positive experiences, and being someone they can trust. Whether it’s trying something new, getting out into the community, or simply enjoying time together, you’ll be part of the moments that really matter.
You’ll receive a full induction across our Supported Living services, giving you the variety and flexibility to work across different settings while developing your skills and experience.
Duties could include:
- Promote independence and choice using a person-centred approach, encouraging individuals to take part in everyday tasks and decisions
- Encourage meaningful engagement through community access, hobbies, and social activities such as trips to shops, cafés, and the beach
- Deliver high-quality, personalised care with dignity and respect, including safe use of hoists and support with daily living tasks
- Support health needs such as PEG feeding, medication administration, SALT guidance, and epilepsy (full training provided)
- Build positive, trusting relationships, offering emotional support to help individuals grow in confidence and achieve personal goals
- Maintain accurate digital records on Nourish and complete administrative tasks, including medication and financial recording in line with policy
- Bring creativity and fresh ideas to improve support, identify opportunities, and celebrate progress and achievements
Skills and Experience Needed
A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support is provided.

Pay and Pensions
- £13.45 per hour
- Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am
- Enhanced DBS which we will pay for
- Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed

Time off and Flexibility
