Department Overview:
The Procurement department at Aston Martin is responsible for the selection and management of all external suppliers to the business. The department has a direct impact upon the Company’s profitability and its team members are relied upon to professionally develop and maintain competitive, stable, long-term supply agreements with its supplier base. These agreements will help Aston Martin to achieve greater commercial success in the future and contribute to the long-term profitability of the company.
Job Purpose:
As a Senior Procurement Analyst for the Strategy, Transformation and Planning (ST&P) team within Procurement, you will be responsible for taking a lead role in defining, developing and implementing controls, measures, and reports to ensure the organisation delivers our operational and strategic short, medium, and long-term objectives.
You will take specific responsibility for major elements of Procurement’s targets and ensure that robust and transparent controls and measures are in place. You will also take the lead for the development and automation of data & analytics, as well as ensuring that the output of your tasks are providing value for the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Constantly strive for process improvement opportunities internally, focussing on business ‘Best Practice’ initiatives.
- Manage the regular cadence of KPI reporting in Procurement, such as cost savings, suppliers’ adherence to our contracting terms, supplier performance and risk management
- Maintain the accuracy/quality of Procurement reporting
- Lead the development of the training plan for the function
- Utilise data analytics and reporting tools to generate insights and recommendations for optimising procurement processes
- Support the creation of an annual budget for Procurement purchases for the coming year
- Hold regular meetings with stakeholders as the key contact for Procurement
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with the buying team to create value for the company
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous data management experience.
- Understanding of the Procurement function and ability to work and communicate at a senior level
- Microsoft Office & specifically Excel / PowerPoint skills are required.
- Knowledge in running KPI’s and measuring performance – strong analysis skills required.
- Educated to Degree level, preferably in line with the role requirements
