Programme Coordinator

Department Overview: 

The Programme team are responsible for planning and coordinating cross-functionally the internal R&D teams to deliver new vehicle lines to production. In particular controlling vehicle definition, Programme timing and costs.  

Job Purpose: 

As a Programme Coordinator you will support the Programme Leader and be a key stakeholder in driving progression and delivery of whole vehicle programmes. Specifically the Programme Coordinator will own and manage robust definition, Engineering timing release schedule, programme status metrics and coordinating cross-functional inputs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Create, administer and own Programme Engineering Timing Release Schedule (ETRS). Working closely with all engineering teams to understand commodity plans and lead times to properly time engineering releases in.
  • Support in the creation and administering of Programme Definition documentation (SEL & PDL).
  • Engineering Change Management – Own Grey to Red concern reviews ensuring correct ownership and severity assignment.
  • Report out accurate ECMS metrics and drive concern progression leading up to critical programme milestones.
  • Vehicle Programme Plan – Administer updates to VPP as required in line with the Programme Leader.
  • Prepare Programme Steering Meeting/Team Meeting slides and present content as required. Responsible for accurate monitoring of programme health and escalation as appropriate.
  • Coordinate cross-functional Gateway evidence collation and compile Gateway packs aligned to the overall programme healthchart.
  • Support Open-To-Go activities and represent Programme as part of the ‘plan for every part’ process.
  • Capture and distribute meeting minutes and actions. Following up on actions with owners as required.
  • General Project Management duties such as planning meetings and forums to drive resolution to matters arising from PSTs and Gateways.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Excellent PC Skills with a high degree of manual dexterity.
  • Evidence of appropriate Project Management experience.
  • Experience in a project management environment.
  • Experience of managing multiple requirements concurrently.
  • Experience within automotive industry.
  • Educated to degree level with relevant Project Management, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering application.
