As an International Trade and Customs Administrator, you possess the initiative to work autonomously or as part of a dynamic team. You eagerly anticipate the chance to assist in a project involving the examination of import data and origin documents, collaborating with the wider AML Customs Team, AML Procurement, and AML Suppliers to ensure all received documentation adheres to relevant legislative regulations.

Your strength lies in setting and achieving clear objectives. In this position, you will lead the effort to review, compile, and submit retrospective import duty reclaims to HMRC. Your role will be crucial in providing the necessary proof of origin documentation for AML to take advantage of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) benefits upon importing into the UK.

 Collaborating with a group of professionals, your task is to guarantee AML obtains the essential proof of origin documentation to make use of FTA benefits. You will play a vital role in supporting a project that entails reviewing import data and origin documents, ensuring adherence to legislative requirements.

Trust is a fundamental aspect of this role, as you will play a key role in facilitating cross-functional collaboration and project timelines. You are committed to avoiding any delays or obstacles that could impede progress.

 You will be tasked with reviewing import data and origin documents, liaising with various AML teams, and ensuring compliance with legislative regulations.

The Key Requirements...

  • attention to detail, tenacity and of working in a fast-paced environment and preferably experience of working in automotive / manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and build effective relationships.
  • Ability to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong IT skills using office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 

Customs knowledge and experience (either in Practice or in-house) is desirable but not essential. The candidate will ideally also have experience of working with or in automotive / manufacturing environments.
