About the Role
At Aston Martin, we are committed to delivering exceptional, data‑driven customer experiences across every touchpoint. Within our Digital and Growth team in Marketing & Communications, we are transforming how customer data is used to create more personalised, premium experiences.
We are looking for a strategic and technically capable CDP Lead to own the vision, development and utilisation of our Customer Data Platform. This role will play a key part in shaping how customer data is translated into actionable insights that power audience strategy, campaign delivery and commercial performance.
Working at the intersection of Marketing, Customer Experience, IT and Data, you will ensure the effective use of first‑party data across the customer lifecycle, enabling meaningful engagement aligned to both brand values and business objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will lead the development of our audience strategy, defining how customers are segmented and how those segments are activated across the customer journey. Working closely with Customer Experience teams, you will support the execution and optimisation of audience‑led journeys, continuously assessing performance and identifying opportunities to enhance engagement.
You will take ownership of the CDP alongside IT, ensuring the platform operates in line with data governance, compliance and security standards. Acting as a strong advocate for the customer, you will ensure the platform delivers clear, actionable insights and measurable value to the business.
A key part of the role will involve translating complex or ambiguous data and marketing challenges into clear recommendations and practical solutions. You will help shape campaign strategies, support decision making, and contribute to improving overall marketing effectiveness.
Collaboration will be central to success. As the main point of contact for CDP initiatives, you will bring together stakeholders across Marketing, CX, IT, Data and Compliance, while also supporting the development of internal capability in audience strategy, data literacy and CDP adoption.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands‑on experience in customer data platforms and a passion for using data to enhance customer experience.
You will bring previous experience managing and developing a CDP, along with a strong understanding of customer segmentation and audience strategy. Experience generating data‑driven insights and recommendations that support commercial performance will be essential.
You will be confident working in cross‑functional environments, able to engage stakeholders and bring alignment across teams. Experience within automotive, retail or similarly customer‑focused industries would be beneficial, as would experience working within digital teams and managing external agencies.
A background in digital marketing or digital delivery will support success in this role, alongside an understanding of data governance and customer data best practice.
