Maintenance Technician
Wellesbourne, Warwickshire | Onsite Based Role
When production stops, every second matters. That's why we're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing operation running safely, efficiently and reliably.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and making a real difference. You'll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of manufacturing equipment and facilities, responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability. Your work will directly contribute to reducing downtime, improving performance and ensuring production targets are achieved.
No two days are the same. One moment you could be diagnosing an electrical fault on a PLC-controlled system, the next carrying out mechanical repairs, supporting equipment installations or working on improvement projects designed to increase equipment availability. You'll work closely with production teams, fellow technicians and specialist engineers to ensure equipment is returned to service quickly and safely.
We're looking for someone with a completed Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship and a recognised Level 3 qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent. You'll have proven experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment, strong fault-finding skills across both mechanical and electrical systems, and previous experience working with relay logic and PLC-controlled equipment. Experience within automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.
You'll be comfortable working independently when required but equally enjoy being part of a collaborative maintenance team. Strong communication skills, good organisation and the ability to prioritise workload effectively are essential, as you'll be managing both reactive maintenance activities and planned preventative maintenance schedules. Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) would also be beneficial.
Additional experience operating forklifts, elevated working platforms, machine shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines and welding equipment, or holding qualifications such as HNC, HND or Health & Safety certifications would be welcomed but is not essential.
This role requires a proactive, hands-on individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, maintaining safe working practices and continuously looking for ways to improve equipment performance and reliability. You'll be trusted to take ownership of issues, identify root causes and help drive improvements that increase machine uptime and operational performance.
Some travel to other sites may be required, and occasional overtime will be expected to support operational requirements.
If you're an experienced Maintenance Technician looking for a role where your technical expertise will make a genuine impact every day, we'd love to hear from you.
