Optimisation & Simulation Engineer - Graduate

Purpose of the role is to… The Simulation & Optimisation Engineer is responsible for simulating and optimising the F1 power unit to maximise its performance. He/she is expected to have had experience of system modelling and control combined with a strong knowledge of mathematical optimisation. The Simulation & Optimisation Engineer will apply state of the art optimisation techniques to arrive at the best solutions for a range of performance related engineering problems. He/she will also aim to identify opportunities to develop tools than can be used by other teams within the business.

  • Data presentation in a clear and concise manner.
  • Data analysis of large data sets.
  • Simulation/analytical tool development for use in engineering environments.

Demonstrate knowledge of…

  • Advantages and disadvantages of different optimisation solutions.
  • Creating models from first principles for engineering systems.
  • Applying mathematical analysis methods to engineering problems.
  • Vehicle dynamics.

Hold these qualifications…

  • Masters degree or PhD related to optimisation, simulation or control systems engineering.
