About the Opportunity

This role leads the strategic development, governance, and continuous improvement of Professional Experience Placement (PEP) and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programs within UTAS Health.. It ensures high-quality, compliant, and future-focused placement experiences while maintaining oversight of industry partnerships and program governance. A strong background in health and a deep understanding of how health systems operate are essential, as the role works closely with academic and industry leaders to develop sustainable placement models that meet accreditation standards and workforce needs. The position also oversees operational systems, performance metrics, and funding strategies, while coaching internal teams to deliver impactful, career-ready learning across all campuses and regions.

What’s Required

  • Extensive experience in healthcare or higher education organisations as it relates to quality and safety, continuous improvement and accreditation processes.
  • The capacity to develop expertise in the local, national and international legal and regulatory frameworks impacting PEP, along with a sound understanding of contemporary issues relating to learning and teaching and PEP within health care agencies and higher education.
  • Demonstrated capability to build and sustain transformative partnerships with industry partners to enable quality learning and teaching opportunities for students in PEP
  • Proven ability to build effective teams and positive cultures that support staff and students to thrive.
  • Experience in driving and promoting high quality outcomes with capacity to manage the associated compliance and risk.
