 About the opportunity

Information Technology Services is looking for a new Manager, Cyber Security and Enterprise Cloud Services to join their team.

In this role you will operate with a considerable degree of autonomy to provide strong leadership across people, business and administrative functions to guide a high performing cyber security team.

You will be required to design and drive a resilient cyber security architecture and maturity roadmap, proactively identify and manage risks, elevate awareness and support, and lead rapid threat response to ensure seamless, secure operations across the University.

As our new Manager Cyber Security and Enterprise Coud Services, you will provide strategic technical advice to the CIO, Associate Director (Cyber Security), and the IT Services Executive Leadership team while overseeing security governance, aligning security architecture, and managing the delivery of critical cyber security projects and work packages.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop strategies to continuously improve the cyber security framework, provide management oversight of the University’s cyber security capability maturity uplift program while ensuring compliance with cyber security policy, standards, regulations and legislation.
  • Ensure the University's ICT Security architecture addresses current industry ICT Security requirements and stays abreast of emerging ICT Security threats and technologies.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Oversee the management of cyber security and enterprise service teams, while supporting the relationship between both internal and external suppliers and service providers.
  • Drive a university-wide cyber security awareness strategy. Communicate the strategy and engage with students, researchers and staff to influence and promote safe and effective cyber hygiene practices and culture.

­What we’re looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications in ICT or cyber security industry certifications or extensive relevant experience in cyber security and leadership and management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience within a highly dynamic digital environment setting.
  • Expert knowledge of cyber security architecture and technology stacks, including business systems, system software, software development, hardware and networks.
  • Expert knowledge of virtualization, cloud services and enterprise infrastructure architecture.
  • Extensive experience in managing delivery of cyber security, cloud and IT infrastructure, projects with a proven history of innovative problem solving.
  • Knowledge of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), Information Security Manual (ISM), the Essential 8 and NIST

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 10 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $163,282 comprising base salary within the range of $137,494 to $139,557 plus 17% superannuation.
