About the opportunity

Reporting to the Dean Rozelle Precinct/Head of School, Paramedicine, the Executive Officer will provide high-level support across planning, projects, data analysis, and process development and improvement.

As our new Executive Officer, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a diverse range of strategic and operational activities, projects, and events and assisting Health leaders to meet internal and external planning, monitoring, review, and communication requirements to ensure the realisation of the School and University mission.

Our ideal candidate will be able to perform tasks under the supervision of the Dean/Head of School but also work independently and autonomously.  You will be able to use your initiative and sound judgement to resolve day to day queries and issues within procedural guidelines.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with and assist senior staff in the school by providing high-level support for School planning, processes, and projects.
  • Working collaboratively within the school to support the delivery of projects and initiatives with specific support to the Dean/Head of School and Business Manager.
  • Provide high-level support to School committees and working groups including planning and organisation of meeting schedules, the preparation of documentation, meeting outcomes, and development of reporting schedules where required.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations and general administration of the school including.
  • Coordinate School events including all logistical requirements (such as venue bookings, invitations, relevant technologies and support, and catering)

­What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrated skills in planning, implementation, and reporting in complex organisations, particularly related to operational and strategic projects.
  • Experience in project management, with demonstrated ability to apply project management methodologies to complete a project within specified requirements.
  • A high level of initiative, and the ability to apply initiative with working both individually and as a member of a team.
  • Strong skills in the use of software applications used in the preparation of documents, data analysis and presentations, plus competence with Social Media.
  • Proven organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including demonstrated ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders and staff.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $116,872 comprising base salary within the range of $92,120 to $99,891 plus 17% superannuation.
