What you’ll do:

  • Develop professional collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure satisfactory outcomes for students and the University.
  • Undertake a range of administrative functions across the scholarships and prizes lifecycle including, but not limited to, responding to student and staff enquiries, application management, shortlisting and selection, payments and ongoing eligibility checking.
  • Provide administrative support under the general guidance of the Manager, Scholarships and Prizes and to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Participate as part of a high performing team to deliver efficient innovative initiatives contributing towards University’s strategic goals within the scope of the Division of Student Services & Operations.
  • Work within identified processes to complete tasks efficiently and accurately with the ability to identify and escalate opportunities for process improvements within the identified scope.
  • Represent the Scholarships and Prize Team at events within Tasmania and nationally if required.

What we’re looking for:

  • Completion of a relevant qualification or an equivalent combination of skills, training and experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in a fast-paced office, excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate a range of administrative tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills and excellent stakeholder management.
  • Capacity to display initiative, solve problems and meet deadlines in a demanding and dynamic work environment.
  • Manage complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, mixing long term projects with the urgency of day to day demands.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team to deliver positive outcomes as well as achieve identified goals and objectives and while ensuring compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with a wide range of information management systems and software and the capacity to acquire an understanding of new technologies as required.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $105,665 comprising base salary within the range of $80,869 to $90,312 plus 17% superannuation.
