The role

  • Full Time, Fixed Term (up to April 2025)
  • Level 9 - $124,878 to $131,951 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Canberra, Orange, Port Macquarie or Wagga Wagga

The Manager, Internal Communication will develop and implement an internal communication strategy for the University to communicate major projects and initiatives, management updates, University Strategy and ad hoc responsive communications.

The role will be responsible for working with a broad range of stakeholders in developing communications campaigns that engage Charles Sturt staff and achieve communications objectives, whilst ensuring key messages regarding each stream of the University Strategy are communicated effectively.

About you

  • Advanced experience in developing and implementing communication strategies in a complex environment and working with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent digital literacy, including an understanding of web development, design, videography and social media strategy and publishing.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence internal stakeholders and lead through change.
  • Proven leadership skills.

  • Charles Sturt University Business Development and Enterprise
  • Initiation of strategic precinct partnerships
  • Strategic external engagement activities across the University’s footprint, including Charles Sturt Regional Engagement Plans and government relations
  • Public relations, media and communications
  • Advancement and philanthropic activities

The Office provides strategic leadership, expertise, and a range of services to support whole-of-University goals associated with its commercial and strategic intent. In achieving these goals, the Office collaborates with a broad network of external stakeholders. In addition, the Office works with all areas of the Charles Sturt community to build university capability and develop a strong and integrated approach to business development, community engagement, internal and external communications, government relations and advancement.
