The role

  • Part Time – 28 hours per week, Continuing
  • Level 7 - $78,773 to $86,072 p.a. (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Wagga Wagga (Hybrid)

Are you passionate about supporting student wellbeing and enhancing their university experience? Join our dynamic team as an Intake and Triage Counsellor! In this role, you'll provide individual counselling to students, addressing issues that impact their academic and personal lives. You'll use evidence-based approaches to foster resilience, wellbeing, and a sense of belonging at any stage of the student lifecycle, whether they study on-campus or online.

In this role, you'll embody the University's values, deliver best-practice counselling, provide crisis intervention, and contribute to health and wellbeing programs. You'll collaborate with Faculties and divisions, maintain professional standards and case notes, and stay informed about higher education sector issues.

About you

  • Degree in Psychology or Social Work, and current registration with AHPRA or AASW
  • Experience in crisis intervention and management with diverse populations
  • Strong communication and highly developed interpersonal skills
