Do you love content creation? Do you scroll through TikTok, Facebook and Instagram not just for fun but to discover the latest trends and creative ideas? Yes? Then we have the role for you!

The Charles Sturt Social Media team is looking for our next star social media content producer to bring our university to life across social media with fresh ideas and on-trend content.

This is a rare opportunity for a vibrant creative who naturally creates engaging content and copy and is looking for a hands-on, creative role, while growing their social media experience and talents.

With your creative flair, each day you will create, edit and schedule high-quality short-form video, graphic design and written content across various platforms, including TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, and Instagram.

The Role 

  • Continuing Full Time
  • Level 4 - $68,892 to $74,785 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Port Macquarie, Wagga Wagga, Bathurst, Orange

In your role as Social Media Content Producer, you will:

  • Use your knowledge of trends and unique content ideas to keep our content fresh and exciting and make a real impact across social media.
  • Be mentored by the social media strategist to take your social media experience and knowledge to the next level.
  • Pitch and create content-led solutions for various university stakeholders including students, recruitment, and research with an audience-centric approach.
  • Get hands on with scheduling, reporting and community management via social media management tools.

About you

  • You have a passion for original content creation and you’re comfortable being on camera if required.
  • Experience producing digital content in various mediums working with Canva, CapCut and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • High energy, creative, with an eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with various stakeholders

The Charles Sturt University social media team shares the stories of our students, research, events and news via high quality short form videos, photography, graphic design and compelling words. We’re a fun and creative team but we’re also strategic and thrive on data.

Every day is different as we support university stakeholders with content-led solutions for their social media requirements. You might be out on campus touring facilities, interviewing students, or filming for the next big research project one day and the next day designing a suite of social media assets for a large multi-channel campaign. Our work is as varied as it is creative.
