Responsibilities:

  • Manage the yearly audit plan (CQA and IPSA), ensuring audits are conducted as scheduled. Escalate any foreseen delays to the GM-CQA
  • Ensure the auditor database is up-to-date, all records are available, and performance assessments or recurrent training are completed within the defined timeframe.  Remove or block auditors who are not current to prevent them from being assigned to conduct Quality Assurance Audits
  • Prepare audit checklists, conduct audits and inspections, and follow up until successful closure in compliance with CQM procedures and the required standards
  • Manage audits, inspections, projects, and compliance matters by liaising with all departments and contracted service providers. Guide compliance with regulations and standards, and support continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and Safety Assurance Program across all operational departments in Hong Kong Airlines to ensure compliance with HKCAD regulations, IOSA, and other applicable standards
  • Monitor the Aviation Quality Database to track findings, root causes, corrective actions, closure, and their effectiveness to support the company QMS and SMS. Provide issue reminders and liaise with relevant stakeholders and action owners to regain compliance and maintain safe operations
  • Conduct data analysis (i.e., audit/inspections, findings, root causes, and other data); identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement; escalate issues and prepare reports to management deemed necessary and within the specified timeframe
  • Ensure standardization of the use of the AQD Audit Module by all users
  • Ensure communication and coordination with departmental QAs and operational managers (or escalation to GM-CQA) in the management of operational risk
  • Comply and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, company policies, processes, and procedures
  • Ensure safe operation, preserve the safety of people, and report occurrences, hazards, deficiencies, and issues in accordance with company procedures

Requirements:

  • University degree in aviation
  • 7 years of relevant Aviation Quality Assurance experience
  • Formal training in Quality Management Systems and Internal Auditing / Auditor
  • Formal training and experience as a lead auditor
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and IOSA
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills to liaise effectively with management within the airline and external parties, as required for the QA monitoring function
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
