Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant l/ll in the Sau Po Centre on Ageing within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 530688), to commence as soon as possible, on a 2-year fixed-term with University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, and/or multi-disciplinary studies, preferably with at least 1-year work experience or further studies in healthcare, technology, gerontology. Applications with relevant research and project experience will be prioritized.
Adequate knowledge of community-based implementation research is highly preferred with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Cantonese is required). Familiarity with MS office applications will be an advantage.
The applicants should have empathy with older adults, be self-motivated and willing to learn research as well as project implementation and management skills, a good collaborator and is also able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility. Applicants should be able to communicate efficiently with stakeholders.
The appointees will report to projects PI to coordinate high-impact research related activities. He/She will be involved in meetings, preparing presentations, reports, proposals, support project activities and other duties as assigned.
