Clerk II (holding the functional title of Executive Assistant) in the Estates Office (Ref.: 531728)

We are looking for a Clerk II (holding the functional title of Executive Assistant) to join the Estates Office.

The Role

The appointee will provide secretarial and clerical support to the senior management, including manage the schedule for the officer, prepare letters, memos and other correspondence, filing, arrange meetings, check and prepare payments for projects/financial reports, maintain project information database, and perform other duties as assigned.  Enquiries about the post should be sent to eojobs@hku.hk.

Qualifications and Qualities

Applicants should possess 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 5 years’ relevant clerical work experience; OR a recognized degree/diploma with not less than 3 years’ relevant experience. 

Applicants should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; hands-on computer knowledge; good interpersonal and organizational skills; and the ability to attend to details and work independently.  Those with relevant work experience in tertiary institutions and construction related organizations will be preferred. 

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.  A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.  Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
