Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the HKU Institute for Climate and Carbon Neutrality (Ref.: 531813) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

The HKU Institute for Climate and Carbon Neutrality is at the forefront of climate education and research. Our Master of Climate Governance and Risk Management program equips students with the essential skills and knowledge to address complex climate challenges and drive sustainable solutions. We are committed to fostering an environment of learning, innovation, and impact.

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree, with at least 1-2 years’ full-time work experience in the field of administration or student affairs.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage); good communication and problem-solving skills; strong organizational skills with attention to detail; computer literacy; and the ability to multitask under pressure and work independently as well as in a team.  They should also have a passion for sustainability and education.  Fresh graduates with good academic background will also be considered. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to our education programme.
  • Assist in managing student services, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all participants.
  • Coordinate and organize enrichment activities, workshops, and seminars related to climate and carbon neutrality.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to implement innovative educational initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required for programme evaluations.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and interview.
