Assistant Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the HKU Institute for Climate and Carbon Neutrality (Ref.: 531814) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

The HKU Institute for Climate and Carbon Neutrality is at the forefront of climate education and research. Our Master of Climate Governance and Risk Management program equips students with the essential skills and knowledge to address complex climate challenges and drive sustainable solutions. Applicants should possess a good university degree with at least 3 years’ work experience in the higher education sector or a related field.  They should be excellent communicators who have a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to motivate their team members to deliver quality work under tight deadlines. Perfect command of English and Chinese; a high level of interpersonal, organisational, time management and problem-solving skills; and an appropriate level of IT knowledge are essential. Experience in postgraduate programme management would be an advantage. The appointee will play a versatile role at the frontline handling a range of tasks in postgraduate programme administration such as admissions, registration, timetabling, assessment, student affairs, curriculum revisions, quality assurance/enhancement and committee support. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the daily operations and administration of the TPG program.
  • Coordinate with faculty, students, and stakeholders to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Support curriculum development and review processes.
  • Manage program-related communications and marketing efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required for programme evaluations.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and interview.
