Receptionist (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Institute for Advanced Dentistry Multi-Specialty Clinical (IAD-MSC) of the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 531837) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance).
As part of HKU’s Faculty of Dentistry, ranked among the top three by the QS World University Rankings by Subject for nine out of the past eleven years (2015-2025), IAD-MSC is a centre of excellence for the management of complex and severe oral conditions. The institute provides postgraduate dental education, fosters clinical innovation, and offers continuing dental and professional education for practicing dentists and specialists.
IAD-MSC is situated in Hong Kong island at a 19,000 ft² state-of-the-art facility. Equipped with 45 dental chairs and paired with the latest technologies, students from seven different dental disciplines can receive education and training in advanced dentistry and interact with real patients.
Applicants should possess 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 1 year’s work experience. They should have a pleasant personality, a good command of English and Cantonese; basic knowledge of MS Office; pro-active mindset; good telephone manners; strong customer-service skills with the ability to solve problems and work under pressure. Preference will be given to those with working experience in dental or medical clinics.
The appointee will work at the clinic reception and assist the registration and appointment bookings with patients, invoicing/payment collection, enquiries from telephone/email/WhatsApp, and other administrative tasks. On-the-job training will be provided.
A 5-day work week (Saturday/Sunday/Public Holiday off, no night shift) and a highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
