IT Technician in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref. No.: 531859) (to commence from June 1, 2025 or as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
 
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; or a Higher Diploma with three years of post-qualification working experience in IT; good communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in teamwork; a good command of written and spoken English; and proficiency in Chinese word-processing. Those with hands-on experience in IT end-user support for both Windows and MAC platforms, Linux servers, WIX and WordPress CMS; knowledge of HTML, PHP, MySQL and JavaScript preferred. The appointee will be responsible for providing end-user support and maintenance of the departmental website, offering classroom A/V support, providing user training on software and IT policies, monitoring IT equipment inventory, ensuring compliance with IT policies and security standards and performing any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
 
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary.
