Research Assistant I/II (Several posts) (Ref: 531597) in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine, to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a M.Phil or Master’s degree, in biological science, biomedical sciences or related disciplines. Experience in laboratory work, molecular biology and bioinformatics analysis would be a strong advantage. They should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese); and good communication and interpersonal skills. They should be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team. The appointee will participate in research projects related to bone and soft tissue pathology. He/She will perform molecular analysis and library preparation for next generation sequencing on clinical samples (e.g. FFPE tissue, blood). Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Dr. Maximus Yeung at mcfyeung@hku.hk.
