Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (2 posts) (Ref.: 531917)
The Role
The appointee will be responsible for providing administrative support to taught postgraduate programme or research postgraduate programme, managing tasks related to student admissions, course selection, data collection and compilation, and course evaluations. Additionally, he/she will assist with programme publicity, student activities, handling inquiries, new initiatives, and completing specific, and any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
- 5 passes in HKCEE including English (minimum Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR minimum Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics with at least 5 years’ relevant work experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience;
- A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Self-motivated, attentive to details, and able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.;
- Strong sense of responsibility, positive attitude, and ability to work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.;
- Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in IT skills, especially in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of management of database and website an advantage;
- Preference will be given to those with work experience in tertiary education, especially experience in handling taught/research postgraduate student matters.
Candidates with less experience and/or lower qualifications may be considered for appointment as Executive Assistant.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on a fixed-term full-time basis for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to funding ability and satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
