Full-time/Part-time IT Officer (Full-Stack Web Developer) at Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 531932) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Higher Diploma/Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science/Engineering/Web Development or related discipline, with ideally at least 1 year of proven work experience as a full-stack web developer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites and web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies;
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and create user-focused solutions;
  • Implement and maintain website and web application features and functionality, troubleshooting and debugging as needed;
  • Ensure website and web application security and data protection best practices are followed;
  • Stay current with the latest full stack web development trends, technologies, and best practices; and
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients or end-users when necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Higher Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Web Development, or related discipline;
  • Ideally at least 1 year of experience in Full-Stack web development, including proficiency in Node.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side technologies;
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility;
  • Experience working with modern frontend frameworks and libraries (e.g.,Vue.js);
  • Experience with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Laravel), and both SQL and NoSQL databases development;
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment;
  • Preference would be given to those with experience with learning management        systems (e.g., Moodle); and
  • High-calibrated fresh graduates will be considered.    

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on a one-year temporary basis, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
