Clerk I (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant) in the Department of Microbiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 531942) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a recognized Bachelor's degree, preferably with at least 2 years' relevant work experience in tertiary education institutions.  They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); good knowledge of MS Office and common IT applications (including Chinese word processing, Excel and database management); excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; and the ability to work independently, multi-task under pressure, and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet strict deadlines under minimal supervision.  They should also be highly motivated, fast-learning, cooperative, self-motivated and attentive to details.

The appointee will provide secretarial, administrative and research support to the professoriate staff of the Department including budget management for research projects, handling financial accounting matters, recruitment of research staff, arranging meetings and travel logistics, and perform other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
