Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF) in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Ref.: 531946),  to commence as soon as possible, on a one- to two-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

 

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering offers B.Eng., M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes. The University of Hong Kong has a highly ranked engineering school and active electrical and electronic engineering programmes. The Department consists of more than 50 full-time faculty members and has excellent computing resources, well-equipped teaching and research facilities and support. Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented candidate with a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering, Radar Engineering, or a related discipline to work on an industrial project, co-advised by Prof. Kaibin Huang and Prof. Yuanwei Liu. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of artificial intelligence algorithms for:

  1. Target localization and tracking in wireless systems.
  2. Target recognition using wireless signals in complex and dynamic wireless environments.
  3. Data fusion from multiple sensing nodes.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  1. Strong expertise in radar signal processing and multi-antenna wireless networks.
  2. Substantial experience in state-of-the-art machine learning or deep learning frameworks.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience in implementing and validating AI techniques on hardware platforms will be a distinct advantage.
  2. Experience in multimodal data processing and fusion.
  3. Familiarity with Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) systems.
  4. Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality research manuscripts and contribute to research proposal development.
