Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in Finance in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 531951), to commence on September 1, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.  The appointment will be made on a two-year fixed-term basis.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in finance and have demonstrated promise of a high level of ability in research in the field of Corporate Finance, Empirical Banking, Financial Contracting and Climate Change-Related Risks on Banks.  The appointee is expected to commit to high-quality scholarly research and teaching; and should be able to teach undergraduate and/or graduate degree programmes.  Previous experiences in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate degree courses will be an advantage.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
