IT Officer (holding the functional title of Assistant IT Manager) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 531954) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; PMP certification is an advantage. They should have at least 6 years of work experience, including demonstrated experience in IT project and service management, covering IT infrastructure projects, audio-visual projects, and service desk operations; and proficiency in project management tools and software for planning, tracking, and reporting project progress. They should also have excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks.
The appointee will serve as the primary point of contact for users, collaborating with both internal and external parties to gather requirements, provide updates, and communicate project status. He/She will also ensure that services delivered by the Service Desk meet required standards. Quality assurance processes will be established to deliver high-quality IT solutions, including regular performance assessments and feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement.
