Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.:531968) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability).
Applicants for Post-doctoral Fellow should possess a PhD degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Statistics. Applicants for Senior Research Assistant should possess a Master’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Statistics, or a related field, and have a minimum of 1 year of research experience. They should be proficient in quantitative analysis and skilled in the use of statistical software(s). Additionally, candidates should have excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably Cantonese), demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, possess good organizational and interpersonal skills, and be capable of working both independently and collaboratively with external parties.
The successful candidate will support the Principal Investigator in executing research projects focused on adolescent and elderly mental health. Responsibilities will include data analysis, preparing presentations, drafting proposals and reports, and undertaking other assigned tasks.
Preference will be given to applicants who have expertise in advanced statistical modeling, a track record of publications, and experience in drafting grant proposals. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Research Assistant I. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview and a written test.
