Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in collaborative multi-omic research projects relating to gut microbiota and vascular and brain health
  • Involve in the design, implementation, and testing of statistical and AI software for analysing large healthcare-related data, including data from electronic health records, medical images, and sensor data from wearable devices
  • Responsible for writing up results, training and supervising students and junior staff, preparing manuscripts, drafting and submitting competitive internal and external grants
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. degree with a strong research background in bioinformatics, epidemiology, biostatistics, genomics, big data analytics, or artificial intelligence analytics
  • Be familiar with conducting analysis with different types of data, including metagenomics sequencing, genomics, proteomics and metabolomics data
  • A good command of written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills
  • A demonstrated track record of publishing academic research papers
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, and able to work well in an interdisciplinary team

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
