Senior Records Management Assistant / Records Management Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the General Services Section of the Registry (Ref.: 532065) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Under the General Services Section of the Registry, the General Records Unit is a team managing the central filing system of the Registry and providing reference services to administrators. The Unit is now looking for a candidate for the position of Senior Records Management Assistant / Records Management Assistant.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with knowledge in archives, records, or information management, preferably with 2 years of experience in a related field. Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese is essential, along with good communication skills, a customer-service oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively as a team. Knowledge of database administration and system management will be a bonus. Candidates with less experience will be considered for appointment as Records Management Assistant.
The appointee will undertake records management duties, including but not limited to file creation, record filing, cataloguing and retrieval. He/She is expected to assist in the planning of records management policy, and provide support in the planning and development of the filing scheme and implementation of the new document management system. He/She will also conduct research, handle enquiries from users, and perform other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
