Administrative Director, Executive Education (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 532067) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement)
Applicants should possess a master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent professional qualifications, with a minimum of 8 years’ work experience and no less than 5 years’ experience at the management level in a business school, preferably with supervisory experience in Mainland China. Applicants should be strong team builders and outcome-driven leaders, with good connections with the professional community and industry, and the ability to develop and define business strategies in order to build pipelines and achieve sales, revenue, profitability and growth targets. They should also be innovative, with strategic thinking and effective organisational skills in initiating and supervising plans to ensure high-quality outputs under tight deadlines. Applicants should have experience in management, supervisory and budgetary administration; excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); the ability to communicate with a range of audiences; and a high level of computer proficiency. A good knowledge of the executive education market/industry in the Asian and Mainland markets is required. A solid understanding of the higher education sector in the business field will definitely be an advantage.
The appointee will play a key role in the Faculty’s development in the Executive Education portfolio, including programme development and execution, and project coordination. He/She will develop strong client relations with senior decision makers and influencers in target organisations/ segments to understand their talent management strategies, systems and processes, and respond appropriately to their needs. He/She will also grow the Executive Education revenue through sales and development activities; systematically prospect and convert leads into sales (hands-on sales role); track and maximise profitability of the Executive Education programmes individually and as an integrated portfolio; interpret industry trends, patterns, demographics, effectiveness of historical marketing efforts, etc.; continually evaluate competitive environment and provide analysis and recommendations to improve business results. The appointee will work closely with the team and clients to assure strong ongoing client relationship and support successful implementation of programmes; ensure programmes are effectively and adequately marketed; propose marketing initiatives, as needed, to increase enrollments; collaborate with colleagues within the team and the Faculty to develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns; and work within a programme sales budget, including helping to manage all programme-related sales and marketing expenses (i.e. advertisement, direct response and brochure). He/She will play an active role in business development strategies and activities with a focus on demand generation; lead nurturing and client conversion; identify platforms and opportunities for Executive Education to communicate value proposition and extend outreach; and manage sales plan execution to ensure on-target delivery. The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and weekends, as well as frequently travel outside Hong Kong.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary.
