Nursing Officer in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 532089) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Diploma or above in Nursing, a Certificate of Registration (Part I) and a valid Registered Nurse Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong, with at least 15 years’ post-registration clinical experience in Hong Kong, preferably within the Radiology imaging units in tertiary institutions or hospitals (e.g. PET-CT/CT/MR/IR). They should have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; and the ability to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team under pressure.
The appointee will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients and other healthcare professionals in the imaging units to ensure smooth operations of clinical services and safe patient care. He/She will also be tasked with providing leadership and effectively managing the nursing team. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation related to patient care processes and unit operations, such as medication, drugs, consumable stores, and inventory records. He/She will participate in quality improvement activities, monitor infection control practices in the units, ensure high levels of client satisfaction, and supervise clerical and supporting staff to enhance client comfort throughout all processes.
