Assistant Director, Programme Operation (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref: 532100) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with a master’s degree in business-related disciplines, with at least 8 years’ working experience among which at least 5 years in programme administration, and management. Supervisory and budget administration experience are essential. Prior work experience in higher education sector would be an advantage. They should also have a solid command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), sound interpersonal and communication skills, strategic thinking, innovative and effective organization skills in initiating and executing plans to deliver expected quality outputs under tight deadlines; and be strong team builders and outcomes-driven leaders with good connection with the professional community and industry. Sound knowledge on the worldwide business environment and rich experience in interacting with entrepreneurs, corporate executives and other business leaders are required. Priority will be given to those with prior experience interacting with institutions and entrepreneurs.
The appointee will oversee the operation of the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme. He/She will also be responsible for admissions, financial planning and control, and course and programme development. He/She will work at the Faculty’s Cyberport campus; and may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends, and travel outside Hong Kong occasionally. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
