Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, with at least 5 years of experience in corporate marketing, branding, and social media, preferably in the tertiary education sector. He/She must possess strong marketing acumen to effectively communicate complex research impacts to stakeholders and demonstrate excellent communication skills in both written and spoken Chinese and English, including Mandarin. Creativity in social media marketing across platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram is essential, and familiarity with tools such as PowerPoint and visual/video editing software (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Premiere) would be an advantage.
The role involves planning and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance awareness of HKU's knowledge exchange and research impacts, along with developing branding strategies within the Office of Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research). It includes creating engaging content and connecting with stakeholders through various channels such as websites, social media, media placement (both paid and organic), videos, visuals, PowerPoint presentations, publications and events. Collaboration with internal teams and vendors is essential for content generation and strategy execution, and perform other duties as assigned. Travelling to overseas and Mainland China may be required. Work outside office hours and on weekends may be required occasionally.
