Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Vascular Surgery, Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine (to commence from as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a B.Sc. or Master degree preferably in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Nursing or a related discipline. Those with previous experience in biomedical related research would be preferred. He or she should be self-motivated, attentive to detail, good liaison skills to coordinate multidisciplinary project activities and able to work independently as well as in a team. Basic knowledge of using statistical software such as SPSS is desirable.
The appointee will be responsible for surgical sample collection, culturing, staining, gene analysisin vitro and in vivo study and common laboratory works. He or She will also assist in screening and recruiting vascular patients for research, data management and analysis, and perform any other duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointments on two-year fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
