Assistant Director, EMBA Admissions (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 532212) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with a master’s degree in business-related disciplines, plus at least 8 years’ of working experience of which at least 5 years in programme administration and admissions. They should have supervisory and budget administration experience. Prior work experience in higher education sector would be an advantage. They should also have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), strong interpersonal and communication skills, strategic thinking, and be strong team builders. They should also have effective organisational skills and demonstrated competence in delivering expected quality outputs under tight deadlines. Priority will be given to those with prior experience interacting with institutions and entrepreneurs, and the Mainland Chinese higher education system.
The appointee will take full responsibility for the overall planning and implementation of admissions exercises for the EMBA programmes. They will work on the admissions strategy related to programme enquiries, application review and processing, interview arrangement and related admissions and enrolment analysis. As admissions representatives, they will be tasked to support student recruitment events like information sessions, admissions talks, online chats, fairs, webinars and campus visits to engage with quality candidates. He/She will work at the Faculty’s Cyberport campus, and may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends. Occasional travels to Mainland China will be required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
