Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Project Officer/Project Officer (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the HKU Research Hub of Population Studies (the Population Hub), Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 532229) (https://www.socsc.hku.hk/rhps/), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least 5 years’ relevant work experience. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); a strong sense of responsibility; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; good IT proficiency; and be able to work independently in a team, attentive to details and handle multiple tasks with self-motivation.
This appointee will provide administrative and clerical support to the Population Hub, (a) assisting in events and knowledge exchange activities, including in-person and virtual events, (b) providing support in answering enquiries, (c) maintaining and managing records and bookings (d) assisting in finance, HR, administrative matters, and (e) any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview. Applicants with less qualification and experience may be considered for appointment as Project Officer.
