Nursing Officer (holding the functional title of Operations Manager) in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref: 532234) (to commence in August 2025, on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should be registered with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong or possess an equivalent qualification, with at least 8 years’ post-registration experience.  A Postgraduate Diploma or Master’s degree in a Nursing-related discipline is highly desirable. Those with experience in setting up a new clinic will be an advantage. Applicants should demonstrate leadership and management skills in a team environment while maintaining excellent nursing standards.  They should also possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; and the ability to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team under pressure.

The appointee will be responsible for (i) overseeing general nursing activities, including the management of medications, drugs, consumable stores, and maintaining accurate inventory records at the University’s clinical hub; (ii) providing training to staff in the unit, (iii) supervising nurses and healthcare assistants in their work; (iv) coordinating the conduct of clinical research studies; (v) leading quality assurance and implementing continuous improvement practices; (vi) ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and supervising efforts to enhance client comfort throughout all processes; and (vii) ensuring full compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements for medical, physiotherapy, and fitness services, while upholding safety and quality standards.  Working outside normal office hours and on weekends may be required as per operational needs.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
