Teaching Assistant in the Department of Psychiatry, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref: 532238) (to commence in August 2025 on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

We are seeking an assertive and interdisciplinary-minded individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant for 3-4 Common Core Courses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in anthropology, biology, computer science, economics, genetics, neuroscience, psychology, sociology, or a related discipline
  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in teaching is preferred
  • Understanding of AI applications in education is preferred
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct dynamic and interactive small-group tutorials for students enrolled in the following Common Core courses:
    • Emotions and AI: Bridging Technology and Human Experience
    • Evolution of Civilization
    • Genetics and Human Nature
    • Mindscapes: Psychiatry and Mental Health Across Creative and Scientific Frontiers
  • Engage in the preparation of course materials and assessments
  • Provide academic guidance and constructive feedback to students
  • Handle administrative tasks related to course management
